My view -
The Property Market
Everyone knows that the Northern Ireland property market took a serious turn for the worse back in 2007/2008. House prices took a tumble and easy borrowing disappeared. This has all been part of the global economic downturn with which we are all too familiar in all walks of life.
Confidence is key. That is why I feel able to say that in the last 6-9 months there has been real movement in the local property market. Sales and purchases of property are once again being more readily agreed with lending institutions offering encouraging mortgage services and products. I have particularly noticed young people being able to buy their first homes. Prices remain somewhat reduced but this is having the effect of people actually being able to afford property and mortgage companies feeling more comfortable about lending.
I would hope that this movement and activity will continue into 2012 and that once again we can all become more hopeful about our economic futures.
If you are thinking about buying or selling your home, why not
